Wang Yong takes helm at SASAC

Wang Yong, minister of the General Administration of Quality Supervision, Inspection and Quarantine, succeeded Li Rongrong as chief of China's State-owned assets watchdog on Tuesday, the China Securities Journal reported.

Li has been director and Party chief of the State-owned Assets Supervision and Administration Commission (SASAC) since it was established in 2003. He pushed the restructure of centrally-administered State-owned enterprises (SOEs), reducing the number from 196 to 123.
