The first visit to Anhui was very impressive to him, Mugabe said in a meeting with Zhang Baoshun, secretary of the Anhui Provincial Committee of the Communist Party of China, citing the province's achievements in social development, agriculture and auto industry.

Zimbabwe welcomed more investment from the region, said Mugabe.

Zhang said that Anhui and Zimbabwe, which were economically complimentary, had reached consensus on cooperation in agriculture, mining and infrastructure construction, and they would further strengthen exchanges and enhance cooperation.

Mugabe will leave the province for Beijing Friday morning.
