HONG KONG - Hong Kong stocks retreated 64.01 points, or 0.3 percent to close at 21,029.81 on Friday.

The benchmark Hang Seng Index traded between 21,095.90 and 210, 945.63 on a turnover of HK$51.45 billion ($6.62 billion).

Among the four sub-indexes, Utilities was the only one that stayed in the positive territory.

The China Enterprises Index, which tracks the so-called H- shares of the mainland-based companies, went down 37.21, or 0.31 percent to 11,905.
