Liu Yajun, Party chief and head of the central and southern regional administration of the Civil Aviation Administration of China, died after throwing himself in front of an approaching train on June 24. Media speculation attributed the suicide to an ongoing corruption probe.

A new Party chief will also be named, and the bureau's ground engineering chief and chief pilot will be included in its new leadership, boosting the number of its top leaders from four to seven, the report said.

The regional administration said the leadership reshuffle had nothing to do with Liu's death and was carried out according to scheduled plans, adding that it will publicize the final appointments on its website soon, according to caijing.com.cn.
