China Guodian, Myanmar sign initial hydro, coal power agreement

China Guodian Corp signed an initial agreement on May 27 to build hydro and coal-fired power plants in Myanmar, the company said in a statement on its website today.

This is an "important" step in Guodian's overseas expansion strategy, the company said.
