Jiangxi sells more to emerging markets

East China's Jiangxi province recorded $4.95 billion in foreign trade in the first four months of this year, a growth of 47 percent from the same period of last year.

The total included $2.76 billion in exports, up 41.6 percent, and $2.19 billion in imports, up 54.4 percent.

The export growth rate was 4.3 percentage points and the import growth rate was 12.4 percentage points higher than the national average.

The province's exports to ASEAN members rose 65.3 percent; those to India were up 64.2 percent; to Brazil, up 231.2 percent; and to Iran, up 201.7 percent.
