East China's Jiangsu province plans to make itself a leader in the technology and use of the Internet-of-things industry in three to six years, the 21st Century Business Herald reported Thursday.

Jiangsu will try to win the central government's support by making it a national strategic program, according to the province's development plan on the industry.
The province aims to reap more than 150 billion yuan ($21.97 billion) from the industry's sales by 2012, and 400 billion yuan by 2015, according to the Jiangsu Economic and Information Technology Commission.
