Taxation bureau sets work tasks for 2008(Agencies)
Updated: 2008-02-20 14:54 China will investigate tax collection in the property, electricity and financial sectors this year, according to the State Administration of Taxation's tasks for 2008 that were posted on its website Wednesday. The administration said in a statement it will also reform the resources tax system this year, and help curb the export of energy-intensive products through its tax policies. It didn't elaborate. Additionally, it will study tax policies that would support the restructuring and listing of state-owned enterprises. China will also revise the consumption tax system for gasoline, diesel and tobacco, the statement said. It didn't give any details.
