The first 1,000-ton heavy-duty servo press machine tool, DDC servo and heavy-duty computer numerical controlled (CNC) machine tools, produced by the JIER Machine Tool Group Co in Ji'nan, capital of Shandong Province, made their debut on October 28.

Clients from more than 300 major industrial counterparts, including the automobile, aeronautics, shipbuilding, locomotive, metallurgy, power generation, general machinery, and electrical appliance sectors, along with experts and authorities from the machine tool field gathered for a close look at the independently developed products, which represent the best in international standard hi-tech.

JIER President Zhang Zhigang said: "We hold independent intellectual property rights (IPR) for the machine tools we showcased on October 28. These machine tools indicate China has developed into a world leader in producing heavy-duty machine tools."

Equipped with advanced research and development ability, JIER Machine Tool Group Co has created a series of high-end machine tools in the fields of CNC, heavy-duty metal-forming machine tools and automation products, ending the monopoly of foreign enterprises.

Servo press technology, efficient in producing large-scale automobile panels, is one of the most advanced technologies in the world and only a handful of companies in the world have put the technology on stream.

In 2006, JIER sped up development of the servo press to make China's first heavy-duty servo press, demonstrating that the nation's ability to develop and produce presses has reached international standards.

New stamping line

The first automation robot stamping line independently developed and made in China went on stream at Rongcheng Huatai Automobile Co last month.

The stamping line is a breakthrough in the domestic automation field, breaking the monopoly of overseas companies in the Chinese market.

At present, JIER is the only company in China that manufactures the automation robot heavy-duty stamping line.
