Corn futures slump

Corn futures in China, the world's second-largest producer of the grain, fell to a five-month low on concern that the government's restriction on the production of corn-based ethanol may lead to a supply glut.

Prices also fell on expectations that the country may harvest more corn this year, analysts said.
