Ten Shenzhen-based companies have been ranked by the Ministry of Information Industry among the nation's top 100 electronic enterprises in terms of revenue in 2006.

Privately owned Huawei Technologies, the country's leading telecom equipment makers, won the third place with a total annual revenue of 65.9 billion yuan (US$8.65 billion), only following top-ranked Lenovo Holdings (138.9 billion yuan) and Haier Group (108 billion yuan). Other Shenzhen companies in the top 20 list included ZTE (11th), Great Wall Technologies (13th), Skyworth-RGB (16th), Huaqiang Group (18th) and BYD (20th). Konka Group ranks the 21st, Seg (Shenzhen Electronics Group) Group, the 29th, and Sed Industrial Co Ltd, 33rd.
