Auto filters to reach 1 billion units

By 2010, it is expected China' s total production of automobile filters will reach one billion units with a total sales revenue of more than 15 billion yuan (US$1.94 billion).

 

Of that total amount, 650 million units are expected to sell in China and 350 million units will be exported. Statistics show that most China-made filters are exported to North America, Europe, Australia, the Middle East and Southeast Asia.

 

There are some problems in China' s automobile filter market, according to Zhu Siyi, general manager of Bengbu Jinwei Filter Co Ltd. He said domestic filter original equipment manufacturers (OEMs) lack product research and development and can't meet engines and environment laws' requirements.
