BASF, the German chemical company, has completed its purchase of Guilin REEcat Catalyst Co Ltd (REEcat), China's largest supplier of motorcycle catalysts.

The move strengthens BASF Catalysts' position in the fast-growing Chinese and Asian markets for motorcycle and small engine pollution-control technology.
