As one of the important events in the 10th China International Machine Tool Show (CIMT 2007), an International Forum on the Modern Manufacturing Industry, will provide an ideal stage for participants from all over the world to exchange expertise and know-how on manufacturing.

The forum, to be held on April 8, one day before the CIMT opens, will also be organized by the China Machine Tool and Tool Builders' Association (CMTBA).

It has the support of the machine tool associations of more than 10 countries and regions, including the United States, Italy, Germany, Switzerland, the United Kingdom, the Republic of Korea, Japan, Brazil and China's Taiwan Province.

A series of high-ranking government officials, famous academicians and celebrated entrepreneurs will exchange notes on current topics of interest in the manufacturing industry.

Besides the international forum, a seminar on Application of Domestic Numerical Control (NC) Machine Tools, organized by the National Development and Reform Commission, Commission of Science, Technology and Industry for National Defence, and CMTBA, is expected to provide the latest information on the industry and promote its domestic development.

The award ceremony for China's machine tool industry in 2006 will be held during the session.

In addition, popular brand promotion activities by the Ministry of Commerce, a get-together party of machine tool associations from different countries and regions, more than 70 conferences on technological exchanges and new product promotions will also be held during the show.
