Export demands bigger liability insurance coverage

Only four percent of China's exported products are covered by liability insurance, said Chubb Group of Insurance Companies Asia and Pacific vice president Chris Lees at the Seminar on Risk Management for Exporting to the European and US markets held on November 21.

Chinese export enterprises have to face more and more compensation claims and lawsuit risks, the gist of which doesn't suit the Chinese market. Chinese enterprises must study how to evade risks and protect themselves. Product liability insurance is one of the means to solve the problem.

As globalization speeds up, European and American markets are gradually strengthening the supervision of China's exports.
