A train powered by
a diesel internal combustion engine on the railroad between Shanghai and
Nanjing. The railway between the two cities in East China will see trains
with electric engines on July 1. This means that train speed will be
raised from the current 160 kilometers to 200 kilometers per hour,
reducing travel time between the two cities to 90 minutes from the current
two hours and 17 minutes.
