The delegation of Fujian Province has been busy with preparations for the
10th China International Fair for Investment and Trade (CIFIT) since last
October, according to sources from CIFIT.
In a press conference on the
10th CIFIT, the Fujian delegation said it had delivered more than 12,000
invitations so far. Investors and entrepreneurs leading various industries in
China have been invited.
In the upcoming CIFIT, the delegation will set
up 10 different negotiation zones to cope with the demands of investors from
different industries.
The first zone has been set up especially for
negotiations with investors from Taiwan Province, which will cover the fields of
infrastructure, manufacturing, high-tech, electronic information, environmental
protection, service, agriculture and forestry sectors.
The Taiwan Affairs
Office of Fujian will hold some forums to introduce investment projects in the
province.
Meanwhile, the Fujian Science and Technology Department will
collaborate with related departments in Taiwan to hold seminars on intellectual
property rights.
Moreover, Fujian Information Industry Department said it
will organize conferences to discuss co-operation in the software industry with
Taiwanese entrepreneurs.
The CIFIT source said the bureau of economy and
trade in Xiamen, the host city, will strive to promote investment projects from
factories and companies in the city to Taiwanese investors.
All factories
and companies planning to draw investments can report their projects to the
bureau and the bureau will sort out the information and help to match the firms
with Taiwanese investors during the CIFIT.
