Anniversary sales: London-based Christie's spring auction of Chinese art is 
approaching. The event, held to commemorate the 20th anniversary of the founding 
of Christie's Hong Kong, is said to be the largest Chinese art sale ever held in 
Asia. A preview will be held from May 26 to 27 at the Hong Kong Convention and 
Exhibition Centre.

Ancient bronze: The newly established Macao subsidiary of the Shanghai-based 
Chongyuan International Art Auction Co Ltd will have its first major auction, 
which will include more than 600 lots with a total value of 300 million yuan 
(US$37 million).
Ancient bronze works and 20th Century oil paintings will be highlights of the 
auction. A preview will be held at the Macau Tower Convention and Entertainment
