It has been five months since the implementation of the custom integration of Beijing, Tianjin, and Hebei province on July 1 this year.
By Nov 21, customs in the three areas had received a total of 1.8 million declarations, which averaged around 13,000 per day. Around 34,000 of the customs declarations were received by a custom and got declared from another custom.
According to the customs' statistics, the integration has shortened the declaration time and has improved the declaration efficiency.
The average declaration time of cargos imported from Beijing by air and declared in Tianjin in the third quarter was 11.3 hours, which was an improvement of 18.4 percent compared with the first half of 2014.
Simultaneously, the average declaration time of cargos imported from Tianjin by sea and declared in Beijing was 39.4 hours, which was an improvement of 33.7 percent.
