Senior Chongqing official faces anti-corruption probe
Luo Lin, a member of the Standing Committee of the Chongqing Municipal Committee of the Communist Party of China, is under investigation for suspected serious violations of Party discipline and laws, the country's top anti-corruption watchdogs announced on Friday.
There were no further details with the online announcement by the CPC Central Commission for Discipline Inspection and the National Commission of Supervision.
Public records show that Luo, 55, a native of Sichuan province, joined the Party in 1992 and began his career in Chongqing High People's Court in 1997. He worked for the city's judicial system for a number of years.
Luo serves as a member of the Standing Committee of the CPC Chongqing Municipal Committee and also Party secretary of the Chongqing Liangjiang New Area.
