Rapeseed is blooming across Xingyi, Guizhou province, drawing visitors as spring arrives in southern China.
More than 400 hectares of golden blooms stretch into a sea framed by karst peaks and Bouyei villages.
The Panzhou-Xingyi high-speed railway has made the area much easier to reach. Since the railway opened last November, the flower-viewing destination that once relied on long-distance buses can now be reached from the provincial capital Guiyang in under two hours, with direct trains from cities such as Chengdu, Chongqing, and Guangzhou.
