The European promotion tour for the World Natural Heritage site "Badain Jaran Desert: Towers of Sand and Lakes" kicked off in Paris, France on Oct 28 and will last until Nov 2.

The event is part of a larger campaign titled "Badain Jaran Desert Visits 100 Universities and UNESCO Headquarters Worldwide," bringing the breathtaking beauty of Inner Mongolia's Alshaa League to the world.

Throughout the campaign, the Alshaa delegation will host a series of events in Paris, Brussels, and other cities across France and Belgium. These include cultural performances, photo exhibitions, flash mobs, lectures, and community interactions held at iconic landmarks, municipal halls, transport hubs, museums, parks, schools, and shopping centers.

Beyond showcasing the Badain Jaran Desert, the initiative also promotes Inner Mongolia's and Alshaa's broader cultural heritage, natural landscapes, industrial strengths, and vibrant tourism resources – inviting the world to experience the unique charm of China's northern frontier.

In a dazzling showcase at the Palais-Royal Square near the Eiffel Tower, the Alshaa delegation presented a cultural performance that blended traditional Mongolian costume displays with a lively Ulan Muqir (grassland art troupe) flash show.

The performance captivated both locals and international visitors, filling the square with applause and admiration. Spectators praised the event, saying, "The costumes are amazing!" and "The music sounds like galloping horses – I'd love to visit Alshaa's Badain Jaran Desert someday!"

At the China Cultural Center in Paris, preparations for a dedicated exhibition on the Badain Jaran Desert are underway. The display follows the storytelling theme of "Sand–Lakes–People–Protection," featuring painting-like photographs and bilingual (Chinese–French) narratives about Alshaa's rich natural and cultural heritage.
