Speakers at think tank event stress global cooperation

Wang Huiyao, founder and president of the Center for China and Globalization and former counselor to the State Council, emphasized the importance of presenting diverse perspectives on China's economy during a lunch dialogue in Beijing on Monday.
He stressed that since many people have said the Chinese economy is flat, with the bubble bursting, it's important to show the world and the people different views about how China is doing when the world has entered a period with tremendous changes and transformations.
Wang outlined China's development efforts, citing its success in poverty alleviation and its shift from a manufacturing hub to an innovation center. He noted the country's progress in infrastructure, talent cultivation, and the green economy, which he said positions the country for closer global collaboration.
