China Daily popular with foreign reporters
At the 2025 Shanghai Cooperation Organization Summit in Tianjin, reporters from India, Belarus, Pakistan and other countries praised China Daily for its professional summit coverage, rich content and high-quality visuals.
"I read a release of an interview with my president from China Daily. It is amazing. And it really established how important it is to have a strong connection between our country and China," said Anastasiya Bunehina, a reporter from Republic of Belarus, said. "I'm really glad that my country is a member of SCO but also that I am present here to document all of these events."
An editor from Kazakhstan, Abdimanap Kenges, said, "China Daily is one of the most influential international newspapers. It helps me follow China's perspectives directly. I was proud to see an article on Kazakhstan's President Kassym-Jomart Tokayev published here."
He added that China Daily plays a key role as a bridge. "It explains China's policies, culture and global initiatives in a way that foreigners can easily understand."
Irfan Ashraf, a reporter from Pakistan, said that "China Daily is a very impressive newspaper. It's publishing SCO summit specially, and the headline is very impressive — 'Port city ramping up educational resources.'"
He added: "I think it's a very good newspaper and I will keep reading this even after going back to my country. I will copy the website and then I will be a regular reader of this newspaper in the future."
