Diplomats explore art and heritage in Ningxia

Diplomats from 14 countries, including Dominica, Jordan and the Bahamas, arrived in Yinchuan this week to begin a four-day cultural tour of the Ningxia Hui autonomous region. The visit is part of the Ministry of Culture and Tourism's 2025 "Discover China Cultural Tour", which aims to offer foreign envoys an immersive experience of China's rich cultural diversity.
On Tuesday, the delegation visited the Ningxia Museum, home to a vast collection of historical artifacts spanning more than a thousand years. Exhibits include prehistoric tools, stone weapons, jade ware, ancient currencies and totems, offering a window into the lives of the region's early inhabitants. The diplomats gained deeper insight into Ningxia's significant role as a key hub along the ancient Silk Road.
