Xizang city transforms into conservation model

The city has implemented grassland ecological protection and restoration with an area of 474,000 hectares, and 600,400 trees have been planted. The comprehensive vegetation coverage of grasslands in the city has reached 50.36 percent. The populations of wild animals, such as Tibetan antelopes and yaks, have increased by more than 5 percent compared to 10 years ago, according to Li.
