On Tuesday, emergency teams airdropped 1.5 metric tons of food and drinking water to flood-affected villages in Huairou district, Beijing.
For the first time, urgent medical supplies were also airdropped to Baihebei village.
Led by the district's economy and information technology bureau, three rescue teams from the Ministry of Emergency Management deployed drones and crewless helicopters to carry out the mission.
On-site data collection, precision positioning, flight path planning, and ground-contact detachment ensured accurate drops and protected the integrity of the food's packaging.
