OSLO -- A shooting incident at a shopping mall in Oslo, capital of Norway on Saturday has left one person hospitalized with gunshot wounds, local police said.

According to police, the shooting occurred following an argument between two individuals inside the Tveita Center. Witnesses reported hearing multiple gunshots, with some estimating up to six shots fired.

One man sustained gunshot injuries and was sent to the hospital, while a woman suffered minor injuries in the ensuing panic. The extent of the gunshot victim's injuries remains unknown.

Police believe the shooting was a targeted incident between individuals who knew each other. "It seems like there has been a showdown between two factions," incident commander Arve Rotterud told Norwegian broadcaster NRK.

The suspects fled the location, and police have launched a manhunt. No arrests have been made as of Saturday afternoon.

Tveita Center, which has about 60 stores, has been closed for the rest of the day.
