Aside from hosting formal concerts, Shanghai Concert Hall has tried different ways to engage with the public and make its architecture and heritage accessible to all. The VR experience is the latest effort for this purpose, according to Fang Jing.
"We want to open up more spaces to the public, and hope to invite visitors to the hall and spend a whole day here, even when there is no concert," she said.
The VR exhibition is taking place at the Music Infinity Space on the fourth floor in the concert hall.
"Later, we will host more colorful events, such as exhibitions, mini-theater shows, and so on, in this space."
