China's State Council appoints, removes officials

BEIJING -- China's State Council on Wednesday announced the appointment and removal of several officials.
Yang Weilin was appointed vice-minister of public security. Wu Zeng was named vice-minister of justice. Yuan Xiaoming was appointed assistant minister of commerce.
Li Jinhua was named deputy director of the National Forestry and Grassland Administration (National Park Administration). Sun Shuopeng was appointed chief of the China National Committee on Ageing, replacing Liu Zhenguo.
Chen Siyuan and Sun Maoli will no longer serve as vice-ministers of public security. Wu Manqing was removed from the post of vice-president of the Chinese Academy of Engineering.
Lai Xinchun was removed from the posts of vice-president and chief engineer of the China Academy of Engineering Physics, while Zhang Ke will no longer serve as vice-president of the academy.
