Former deputy GM of Sinochem Group under investigation

Feng Zhibin, former deputy general manager of Sinochem Group, is being investigated for suspected serious violations of Party disciplines and national laws, China's top anti-corruption watchdogs announced on Friday.

The announcement was disclosed by the Central Commission for Discipline Inspection of the Communist Party of China and the National Commission of Supervision online, with no more details released.

Public information shows that Feng, 61, graduated from Renmin University of China. He joined the Sinochem Group in 2000, and served in various positions in the company.

Sinochem Group, established in 1950 and headquartered in Beijing, is a key State-owned enterprise under the supervision of the State-owned Assets Supervision and Administration Commission of the State Council.

It is a leading operator in the petroleum and chemical industries, as well as a comprehensive enterprise in agricultural inputs, including seeds, pesticides, fertilizers, and modern agricultural services. The company also holds significant influence in urban development operations and non-banking financial sectors.
