Students from both sides of Taiwan Strait compete in a friendly dragon boat race

"We also have dragon boat races in Taiwan, but I usually watch them on TV. After experiencing it firsthand here, I found it quite interesting," said Tsai Shang-lin from Fu Jen Catholic University. This is his third time in Beijing, and unlike his previous visits during winter, the dragon boat experience in summer felt very different to him.

Reflecting on the interactions with mainland students, Tsai said: "There is always a sense of curiosity about each other — what we eat, where we hang out. We feel like long-lost brothers and sisters, reconnecting after a significant time apart."
