Former senior official of Jiangxi under investigation

Hu Youtao, former vice-chairman of the Jiangxi Provincial Committee of the Chinese People's Political Consultative Conference, is under investigation for suspected serious violations of discipline and law, the country's top anti-corruption agency said on Thursday.
Hu, 70, is being investigated by the Central Commission for Discipline Inspection and the National Supervisory Commission, according to a statement released by the commission on Thursday night.
