The immersive musical Till We Meet Again returned to the Beijing Huguang Guild Hall on April 30 for a second run.

The musical, initiated by the Beijing Federation of Literary and Art Circles and supported by several cultural funding platforms, premiered at the end of last year with a month of performances.

The storyline is set around 100 years ago and follows the story of a Peking Opera troupe becoming involved in a murder mystery. The head of the troupe is arrested as a suspect, plunging the troupe into crisis. Jin Sheng, the troupe's lead actor, takes on the responsibility of proving their leader's innocence and of reviving the troupe.

Set against the historical backdrop of the Beijing Huguang Guild Hall, the production draws from the hall's cultural background while introducing a series of interactive experiences, as well as creative cultural merchandise. From April 30 to May 4, intangible cultural heritage experiential events were on offer to the audience.
