Beijing film festival's tech section kicks off

Guo Zhe, director of the China Science and Technology Museum, said the section has evolved from a special effects film showcase into a multidisciplinary platform that promotes global collaboration.
This year's edition features 50 films from 14 countries, screened across 22 science popularization venues nationwide. For the first time, the Tibet Natural Science Museum is among the venues.
The opening concluded with a laser-enhanced "Symphony of Science" concert, which blended traditional instruments with digital visuals.
Running through May 5, the tech section aims to boost China's capabilities in science cinema, promote international exchanges, and encourage cultural and technological synergy.
