Lingshui unveils investment potential at global expo

Lingshui Li autonomous county in Hainan province showcased its economic potential as a key hub within the Hainan Free Trade Port during the Lingshui 2025 Global Investment Promotion Conference on Thursday evening in Haikou.
The event took place during the fifth China International Consumer Products Expo. It highlighted opportunities in the digital economy, high-end tourism, international education and tropical agriculture.
Li Zhiping, deputy director of Hainan's department of commerce, emphasized the province's advantages as the free trade port prepares for independent customs operations this year. "Policy incentives and industrial upgrades are making Hainan a magnet for global investment," he said.
Wu Haifeng, Lingshui's Party secretary, outlined plans to transform the county's "Town for Overseas Returnees" into a digital culture hub focused on gaming, short videos and e-commerce exports. "We're converting idle spaces into international industry clusters," he said, pledging top-tier resources for investors.
The county government introduced six major projects, including an international youth living zone, agricultural wholesale markets and yacht tourism facilities.
Luo Hua, governor of the county, promised "gold-standard" administrative support to streamline business operations.
Twenty companies specializing in data services, media and agriculture signed cooperation agreements during the conference, marking new partnerships in the fast-developing region.
