In 2012, Chinese American filmmaker Ang Lee adapted the story for the silver screen, winning four Oscars at the 85th Academy Awards. A decade later, Lolita Chakrabarti's stage adaptation premiered in London's West End to significant acclaim, winning five Olivier Awards in the United Kingdom, and four Tony Awards in the United States.

The theatrical version of the Life of Pi explores the themes of survival, faith and the human spirit in a stunning visual and emotional journey. The production is noted for its imaginative use of puppetry, a unique storytelling element that captivates audiences and helps immerse them in Pi's surreal world.
