Portuguese parliament rejects confidence motion, forcing government to resign

LISBON -- Portugal's Parliament rejected the government's confidence motion on Tuesday, leading to its resignation.

Prime Minister Luis Montenegro's government will now operate in a caretaker capacity, restricted to essential and urgent duties.
