Qiu Yuanyuan, president of the Jiangsu Broadcasting Corporation International, said her company, for years, has been actively engaged in international media businesses and she looks forward to furthering dialogues in the sector to bring more high-quality China stories to global audiences.

Two panel discussions were held after the speeches, one focusing on documentaries and children's programming, and the other on unscripted formats and dramas.

Experts echoed that collaborating with reliable local partners and co-developing localization stands as the key for the global expansion of content.

"The most effective way of bringing shows to China is to find partners that, even if you have an existing format, you need to work in co-developing, adapting it to the Chinese market," said Avi Armoza, CEO at Armoza Formats, an Israel broadcast media production and distribution company.

"One thing we don't understand from the outside until we come to China is how big the scale of production and production value is," he added.

MIP London, which ended on Thursday, made its debut in London this year, attracting more than 2000 content professionals from 75 countries and regions.
