Railways facilitate tourism in NE China

In the vast expanse of Northeast China, railways have become a fast, reliable and convenient means of transportation for people, injecting vitality into the economic development of the region's tourism economy. Since the Spring Festival travel rush began on Jan 14, Shenyang North Railway Station has handled an average of 487 trains daily, transporting passengers from all over the country to Harbin, Jilin and other popular destinations in northeastern China for ice and snow tourism, with an average daily passenger flow of 121,000 people.
