UN office in Nairobi hosts Chinese New Year celebrations

Jane Makori, deputy director for Asia and Pacific affairs at Kenya's foreign ministry, said Spring Festival is one of the opportunities of bringing people together.

He said by being recognized by UNESCO, Spring Festival will give the world a glimpse of Chinese culture.

"I am honored to represent the government of Kenya on this auspicious occasion as we join our friends from China to celebrate Spring Festival," she said.
