Bangladesh foreign adviser to pay visit
Touhid Hossain, adviser for Foreign Affairs of the Interim Government of Bangladesh, will pay a five-day visit to China starting Monday. This year marks the 50th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between the two countries, as well as the China-Bangladesh Year of People-to-People Exchanges. Foreign Ministry spokesman Guo Jiakun said on Friday that China will work with Bangladesh to strengthen exchanges at all levels, enhance political mutual trust and promote high-quality Belt and Road cooperation and exchanges across the board.

Bird feathers found in crashed jet engines
Investigators found bird feathers and blood in both engines of the Jeju Air jet that crashed in South Korea last month, killing 179 people, a person familiar with the probe told Reuters on Friday. Minutes before the fatal crash, one of the pilots reported a bird strike and declared an emergency before initiating a go-around and attempting to land on the opposite end of the runway, according to South Korean authorities.
Investigators seek to detain Yoon longer
South Korea's joint investigation unit, including the Corruption Investigation Office for High-ranking Officials, or CIO, sought a separate warrant on Friday to detain arrested President Yoon Suk-yeol for up to 20 days. Yoon has been kept in custody at the Seoul Detention Center. He rejected the CIO's repeated calls to appear for questioning on Thursday and Friday.
