President congratulates award-winning retirees

President Xi Jinping met on Tuesday with representatives of retired officials and groups who received awards for their outstanding work.

Congratulating the awardees, Xi, who is also general secretary of the Communist Party of China Central Committee and chairman of the Central Military Commission, urged the retirees to carry on the glorious traditions and maintain political integrity.

He also urged them to make further contributions to building China into a strong country and rejuvenating the nation through the path of Chinese modernization.

Journal to publish Xi's article on modernization

An article by Xi Jinping, general secretary of the Communist Party of China Central Committee, on achieving national rejuvenation through Chinese modernization will be published on Wednesday.

The article by Xi, also Chinese president and chairman of the Central Military Commission, will be published in the first issue of this year's Qiushi Journal, a flagship magazine of the CPC Central Committee.
