Luo Zengbin, a member of the Standing Committee of the CPC Hainan Provincial Committee and secretary of CPC Haikou Municipal Committee, is under scrutiny by the CPC Central Commission for Discipline Inspection and the National Supervisory Commission, according to a statement on the commission's website.
Luo is suspected of serious breaches of discipline and the law.
