A dialogue on cooperation in China-Vietnam business, trade and logistics was held on Friday morning in Chongqing's Nan'an district. The event drew almost 300 attendees, including officials from the Vietnamese central government, leaders from different provinces and cities in Vietnam, the Chinese ambassador to Vietnam, relevant officials and department heads from Chongqing, as well as business representatives from both countries.

"Chongqing remains committed to bolstering collaboration between enterprises from both regions, enhancing policy guidance and service guarantees, and fostering an expanded development landscape alongside a more conducive business environment for these enterprises," said Chongqing Mayor Hu Henghua at the event.

"Our trip to Chongqing present a crucial opportunity to deepen economic and trade cooperation between Vietnam and China," said Vietnamese Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh during his speech at the event. He noted China's status as Vietnam's primary trading partner and underscored Vietnam's significant focus on collaboration with Chongqing.

During the meeting, a signing ceremony for seven memorandums of cooperation was held, covering sectors such as economy, trade, logistics, energy, agriculture and telecommunications.

On Friday afternoon, a reception ceremony for a freight train from Vietnam via the China-Vietnam Railway was held in Chongqing Tuanjie Village Station. The cargo is loaded with Vietnamese specialty products such as control panels, coil drums, and plastic toys, totaling 26 standard containers with a cargo value of nearly 90 million yuan ($12.58 million).
