Nuclear plant halts operations after snag
Japan's Onagawa nuclear power plant halted operations on Sunday following a malfunction with measurement equipment within the reactor, just days after its first restart since the 2011 earthquake and tsunami. The plant unit 2, located in Miyagi Prefecture, restarted on Tuesday. Although there was no risk of radiation leakage, Tohoku Electric intended to halt reactor operations for checks.

Axe attack on suburban train leaves 4 injured
Four people were wounded, two of them seriously, by an axe that was wielded during a fight that erupted on Monday on a train outside Paris. One of the victims had a hand cut off and another had the skull split open. Two others sustained minor injuries. The incident happened while the train was at the station of Ozoir-la-Ferriere southeast of Paris.
