7 dead, 2 missing in house fire in East China's Anhui

A fire, which broke out in a self-built house in a village in Panji district, Huainan city, Anhui province at around 5am on Saturday, has claimed the lives of seven people while two people have been reported missing, according to Xinhua News Agency.
The self-built house was used as a supermarket, according to CCTV news.
Search and rescue efforts are underway at the site of the incident with local firefighting and rescue teams, alongside law enforcement and emergency response units.
