Chinese firm to help build railway station
Serbia has signed a $151 million contract with China's Shandong High-Speed Group to build a new railway station complex in New Belgrade, the capital's central business district. The deal was formalized on Saturday by Serbia's Transport Minister Goran Vesic and a representative of the Chinese company, with China's Ambassador to Serbia Li Ming in attendance. Construction will begin early next year, with the completion set for December 2026. "This station will be integrated with the bus and tram networks, significantly enhancing the city's transport system," Vesic said. Li underscored the project as a new highlight of Sino-Serbian partnership.
