Investigation underway for Hainan anti-graft official

Chen Xiaobo, 59, deputy Party secretary of the Hainan Provincial Discipline Inspection Commission and deputy director of the Provincial Supervisory Commission, is under disciplinary review and investigation by the Central Commission for Discipline Inspection and the National Supervisory Commission, as announced on Wednesday by the central commissions' official website on Thursday.
According to the announcement, Chen is suspected of serious violations of discipline and law.
He assumed the role of deputy Party secretary of the Hainan Provincial Discipline Inspection Commission in 2017, followed by his appointment as deputy director of the Provincial Supervisory Commission in 2018. These positions were held until the initiation of his recent investigation.
