Fashion show highlights Chinese culture in Paris

A total of 48 haute couture outfits were showcased at a fashion show that highlighted traditional Chinese culture in Paris on Sept 28.

The show was hosted by the Prince Kung's Palace Museum and incorporated historical and cultural elements representative of the museum.

The outfits featured traditional Chinese colors and craftsmanship, including embroidery, mother-of-pearl inlay, and Yun brocade as well as designs that blend fashion and cross-disciplinary approaches to share the unique essence of the Eastern aesthetics with the world.

They were works by a team of young artists led by fashion designer Laurence Xu.
